allcruisen, I would be totally pissed if this situaltion was to happen to me and I'd have to say that I wouldn't have have handled it the way you did, probably more like Raf. Show his ass your not messing around. Possibly the reason they blew you off was because most people don't have time to take the nessesary steps to complaining, and if they blow you off, its over just like that. I would go out of my way to show Sears that you'll screw sears worse than they screwed you, maybe then they would treat their customers with a little more respect.

Never heard of balancing tires on the car, I know they cut rotors on the car now but not wheels. How do they do that?

I'm with Big Mike. Sears = Craftsman Tools and thats it. Go to a tire center for tires, you never know what kind of monkey they will have working your rig otherwise.

#1, I did not know that this was put up as a sticky but am glad it was. For those of you that dont like it, skip over it.

As for others that say "just blow it off". These a-holes did not scratch the rims, the actually made grooves into the rims. You can stick your finger nail in the grooves, thats how deep they are.

The reason I took the truck to Sears is because I bought the tires from them and got a real good deal from them. Never had any previous problems with them.

Gearrat: I wanna move up North so bad, but dont want to take the kids out of their environment, when they are doing so good in school. {Maybe once they go to College}.

Pepe`...I have contacted Consumer affairs and all the TV stations and am waiting on their replies. So far one channel called me and was very interested in my problem, since I also mentioned that the Mgr. made a false accusation as to feeling threaten by me. I told her I am 5' 7" and disabled. The smallest mechanic that was with this a-hole musta weight at least 300lbs. and their were about five of them and one of me.

I wrote this to warn others not to create problems, so please if you dont like watt you see.

Damn that sucks, I have to share a story with ya'll because some people are saying stick with tire people for tire work. Two years ago I blew a tire on my 89 Mustang 5.0. Got it to Goodyear and asked them to replace the tire. They called me to tell me that my brakes need replacing really bad and that they could do it, told them no, I would do it over the weekend. So, I got my stang back and that weekend went to do the brakes. Well on the wheel that had the new tire, I went to pull it off and noticed that of the four wheel studs, only three had nuts on them. The fourth stud had been boggered during their work. So I call and spoke w/the assistant manager, explained to him what I found, and asked him if this was standard practice for Goodyear. He put me on hold, came back and said it would be okay. I asked him if he thought if I called Ford's service department and asked them if the four wheel studs the manufacturer deemed necessary to safely hold the wheel on, only needed three nuts on them to function, if they would think it would be okay. He put me on hold again, came back and said I need to bring it in. Now, the guy was very polite, but the funniest part was, when I brought it in, they put the whole car up on the lift, and 6 guys checked out the wheel and studs. I got a free oil change out of it for my time.

If only I could do all my work on my vehicles.

Yeah, that was going to be my first option but when I told the news people that I was goin to do that, they told me to wait and see first watt they can do.

Another thing this A hole mgr. told his supervisor is that I threatened to throw my wheels threw their window. When I told the news peolpe that I was disabled and could not even carry a wheel, she laughed and said watt an idiot this guy is.

If I dont get any response from the News people, I will pack my lunch, fill up my tank {all 33 Gallons} and then write on my side windows. Then I will cruise the parking lot, 'till I run outa gas.:)

The only thing I have to do with Sears are the tools and I had a problem with a set of srew extractors once. Two of them broke while trying to get a screw out. I took them back and asked for my money back or exchanged. She said they don't do that on bits.  I asked for the ****er and went off on her. I told her that was bull and that I just brought them about an hour ago. She said she would exchange them this time. Like she would remember me a year or so down the road. I have never used Sears for the automotive service for the reason that AC has mentioned. Plus hearing problems from other friends about how they do people.

Give'm hell AC! Sue them! Good luck!

Got a few days left here... what do you have in mind.
You want instructions, or one made for ya?
I don't see a SuperFord site in your sig... so the first thing you need is some good shots (preferably action) of your Bronco.
The rest is just details...

That story is no big deal when you read what happened to me. Go to www.searautosucks.com They ruined my rims (structurally) and had to buy me new ones. These idiots wouldn't even listen to me and it took over two weeks to get my truck back!

I've had two bad experiences - once to have my tires installed on my Explorer, who drove it into the garage broke the arm rest on the center console. Then when I pointed it out to them they tried to tell me it was like that when I brought it in. After fighting with them for a while, they finally agreed to pay for the part. The second (and last) time I went back for an alignment, some a-hole tryed to tighten the wheel bearings, cranked on the spindle nut without removing the locking pin. Had to pay for that one myself. Screw Sears!
