Can you hear me now ?
... Gooooooood !!! I'm a member of the Dixie Chapter and got lucky enough to get sent to Colorado to work for a while. We'll be improving Verizon's network so if you're with Verizon, they heard ya' screamin' for better coverage. Figured I'd say howdy howdy. We'll be starting in the Alamosa area. We're supposed to do a lot of work in Colorado, Wyoming and New Mexico. Drove the Bronco so I can still go play on the weekends.

Nice, you should post where/when you are going to be. Perhaps we can set something up with you.

Change of Address
Well Alamosa wound up being the wrong area - they told me Jasper, CO but meant Grandby, CO... pretty big difference but I get paid by the hour so it's cool. I always get to wheel... I work at the remote radio sites and some of them are pretty tough to get to. If any of the ones I work on while I'm here have any wheeling potential, I'll be sure to make a post on it. I explore the side roads from time to time and have gotten into some pretty cool places.

Isn't that where the guy built that super-cool bulldozer and did what we've all wanted to do at some point?

Cool man. If your ever in the Boulder area hit me up. There are a number of good trails around here. Some very difficult. Oh yeah, can you do something about the coverage in Boulder? It's hit or miss.

Shoot me an email if you come near Vernal, Utah... Heavens know we could use some improvments out here to the cell service.

Update
Well here's what I can tell you right now. The following places will be getting upgraded service (Verizon and any company that has roaming arrangements with them) in the next few months - they gave me the list today.
Granby/Jasper Eagle/Glennwood Grand Junction/Mack Blue Mesa/Montrose Montrose/Delta Copper Mountain/Shrine Pass Denver Wheatridge/Mile Hi Cortez/Goodman Beaver Creek/Dowds All of those may not be names of towns or cities - sometimes the site is named after a rock or God knows what. Cell coverage is generally 15 miles out from the tower so if you are between 2 you can get about 30 miles. So, if you're within 15 miles minimum of any of those, you're coverage should improve considerably shortly. Yeah Granby is where the guy remodeled several local establishments with an armor plated bulldozer. The buildings are still boarded up. Thanks for the replies - will look into the places mentioned. Going to drive up to the Continental Divide tomorrow and do the tourist thing. ![]() |
