Special Edition Bronco?

OK, i was at the sandblasting shop the other day and i seen this 78/79 bronco way in the back. I went out and took a look at it. It has a 6-8 inch trailmaster lift and no tires. its sitting on the ground. I got a hold of the landowner and he said the owner of the truck owes him 500 bucks and he wont let it leave until he pays him. This truck has been sitting there for 3 years. I told him i want it. He said if i can get ahold of the owner and have him pay him i can have it or whatever the real owner says. Id love to get this. its got a big block im pretty sure. it has fenderwell headers. So my question is, was there ever some special paint package on a bronco that would make it special edition. this one is red, white and blue. Its not some custom work i dont think. A buddy of mine says its ford orignal. Has anyone ever heard of a SE bronco? Yeah, im stupid for not getting pics but i i will have them tomorrow for sure. Thanks, tom

I should've clarified...when I posted the Stroppe Bronco, it was in reference to the paint scheme, not in reference to that era of Bronco. My bad...

My reason for posting the Stroppe Bronco was that it was a Red, White and Blue scheme that Fordman found on an early '78/'79 Bronco. He said the paint looked factory which I would think looks old, and it had a patriotic paint scheme...the Stroppe came to mind because those were around in '71 and maybe somebody figured that paint scheme would look good on a big bronco. Although there have been some crazy paint schemes from the factory on those late 70s early 80's Broncos, but who knows. I'm waiting to see pics of the truck in question...

I know that the Stroppe was only offered 70, 71, And i thought 72? It was a fairly limited production....But, Whats it worth? Im sure a fortune.....

Just looked it up on JBG....Jeff Trapp has a 100% restored 71 Baja...One of the 30 remaining or so of the 575 originally produced. No value given...

I vote not factory also. But for the right price I'd buy it too.

Ok, here comes the rest of the pics. Feel free to tell me anything and everything you know about whats on this truck.

double stacked blocks. how gay! i should have busted out the tape measure to see how tall it is.

There appears to be about 3 too many links for the steering.

Nice fenderwell exit headers. Gotta be a big block right? The coils measure about 21-22 inches. Anyone know how much lift that might be? And are those F-250 shock mounts??

Looks like they painted right over the chrome.

Name that motor! There are 8 wing nuts bolts for the valve cover.

sorry, seven nuts for the 429/460.

im pretty sure the m's/clevo's have 8. to be sure, check the water neck. 335 series was the only one to come out of the block, rest go thru manifold.

paint job would be nice if it was in better shape.

those look like stock shock mounts to me, just non dual setup.

looks like he stole the tailgate trim from an 90s bronco.

if you can get it cheap (less than 300-500) id say go for it. just use it for parts, pita to make this thing street worthy.

Yea custom paint, prolly looked pretty good in it's day. It's more than likely 400 engine..possibly a clevland but if I had to guess I'd go with 400. If you can get for 500 or less go for it! I'm like SquattyD though, I wouldn't go more than that...for 500 it'd make a good parts truck.
