On the way home from the meet and greet at four wheeler supply my pony overheated. I I noticed the water pump was leaking and I suspected the fan clutch was also gone.

I would like to say I changed both of them myself but that wouldn't be true. I had Nick from Pleasant Valley auto repair do the work for me.

Just because I did not work on my bronco did not mean I did not do something for my Bronco. I am building him a new place to live

Alright. Slow and steady gets the job done.

When I was putting the timing cover back on Babe's engine, I found one of the bolt passages next to the driver's side water passage was cracked. I had to spooge the heck out of it and carefully snug the four bolts a bit at a time. Knock on wood, the seal will last until I get a new cover.

Yo,
Found squirrel nest again on driver side rocker cover.
At least 4th time since we bought the 96 new, but all in past four years.

See my partially recovered Bronco web site. Thanks to Mr. Schwim!

My co-worker and I just did some coolant things.

Drove the BKO to work today (not a DD) and when I pulled in and parked she was spewing coolant on the concrete. I couldn't believe it. I mean, I had seen a small leak before but this was sudden.

I crawled under there and the (I can only assume OE) lower radiator hose was mushy and cracked just above the oil coolant lines. A quick google and a trip to Advanced Auto got us all the parts. $180.00 later and we were ready. I bought the lower hose, and while it was drained I bought a new top radiator hose since it was about $12 and good preventative maint. Then he observed it could use a new serpentine belt so that went into the cart too. Cant forget the FoMo green coolant. Boom, a few hours of removing and flushing and she should be good as new!

Hooked up the rear left seat belt for the first time, and found a place online to send my rear right seat belt assy for webbing replacement for $75. Also started spraying a fresh coat of paint on the rear interior trim pieces - still have to do the longer pieces.

Now that the top is off, I bought and installed a Tuffy console. I have several of their products in my '69 and they absolutely rock!

Looking forward to seeing more of it.

It (They) will fit right in at the 2019 "FullSize Bronco Invasion" next April / May.

Finally looked over the '93 today and started noting what things I need to look for at the local pick a part places. Starter and main power wiring harness making the top of the list.

What did you do to your bronco today?

And, at long last, the panels are padded and covered. Now to attach the speaker grilles, poke the holes for the attachment pins, put them in the Bronco, reattach the arm rests, and reattach all the plastic trim pieces. What a job, not as easy as I thought it would be!

EDIT - I just HAD to go give it a dry fit!

After I finish this project, next up...center console, done up in the same way...

Thanks man...I have the panel dimensions drawn out and posted on my build thread if youre interested. The two sides are mirror images of each other, but are designed to replace the panels for an XL model, like mine.

I take a can of enamel semi-gloss white and spray paint the wheelwell lips where it's very rusted/rusted through.
