You're probably going to get mad at me, but because I've done this before, I thought it worth mentioning: are you trying to push it in the correct direction? Also, is the tool completely clear of it if it does begin to push through?

And, CDA455, you cannot use heat on those beams, as it'll actually weaken them. The 2WD cast beams have "Do not drill--weld--heat," or something to that effect, cast into them.

[quote=MS88Bronc;7120608]And, at long last, the panels are padded and covered. Now to attach the speaker grilles, poke the holes for the attachment pins, put them in the Bronco, reattach the arm rests, and reattach all the plastic trim pieces. What a job, not as easy as I thought it would be!

EDIT - I just HAD to go give it a dry fit!

No worries, the only stupid questions are the ones not asked - and I donít take offense easily! I am sure it is going in the correct direction and Iím fairly certain that the back of the tool is not blocking it from going through. Maybe Iím not cranking it hard enough to press it through?

Going back at it in a little while...

Used the bronco to rip grape vine out of the woods behind my place. Pictured is about half of what I pulled and most was about 4-6" in diameter. It was in the way of where I want a 4-wheeler path/shooting stand for when I make my small-arms gun range.

About 40% of that was underground, the rest was above/in the trees. I ripped about 3 12"-ish diameter limbs out of an oak and pine getting this crap to drop.

There's still plenty of little vine left back there, maybe next weekend I'll get that up so I can start mowing the wild grass in there and keep it clean.

After that was done I went to roll up the windows and my passenger side wouldn't come up. Went around the suv and found the door and carpet was full of water. The window mustvem been down since elast weekend and it filled up with all of this rain we got. Gah. Got the window up but the regular gears are toasted inside.

Painted the rear axle I'm working on. SOLID diff cover shows up sometime this week, too. Looked at Spicer and ARB nodular covers, but I figure as I'm not doing any rock crawling and just looking for a little more protection on the trails, the SOLID cover should work just fine. I briefly entertained the idea of fabbing a diff cover, but had to stop myself.

More work on the bikini top. Last step is proving to be the most difficult. Getting the pop-rivet snaps to rivet properly. Using the rivet pliers isn't working well as the stud isn't expanding completely or evenly. May have to purchase a special die from SnapRite.

Also working on getting this bulge out of the middle. I think I've got it just didn't take a photo before the rain moved in and the tarp came out.

I haven't been around too awful much lately, but I still have the Bronco's and have been doing some things to them. Filly had some body work done to her and some paint laid down. Then I had the free wheeling stickers I bought a few years ago put on. While she is not done on the outside yet I figured I'd share with you where I am at thus far.

I'm still surprised by how good those free-wheelin' decals look over a white rig.
and the turbines... classic, all the way around man. I'm sure Filly would be proud.

The replacement underhood harness for the '93 EB came in last night. I'll take it out to the shop after work. First things first, I've got to finish some work on the back doors on the new house. I have a rather large black lab. Can't move in until I get him a dog door built. Existing french doors were all glass. Replacements with SMALL dog doors were over $2K not even installed. Bought a $160 wood half lite door and made it fit. I hate woodworking.

Now that it's primed, gotta pull it off again and cut / install the dog door. After that's done, I'm going to hook up the replacement harness, throw a battery in it and see if anything works. Hoping the tailgate / window works on the '93 that would be nice. Once I'm finally all the way moved into the new house - hopefully this weekend - I'll trailer over my compressor, my other toolbox and the rest of garage / shop stuff. That way I can get some Bronco work in later at night before bed.
