Spent 5 hours drilling in to remove a broken motor mount bolt on Dad's 400, on the stand.
3 bits and maybe 1/2" of progress. Yay.

Had some random guy in a black Charger knock on my door and ask if the Bronco was for sale. I told him I'd probably want more for it than he was willing to pay. He asked me what I what number I was thinking. I told him, "Enough to buy a replacement Bronco." He got the hint, thanked me for my time, left his number in case I ever reconsidered, and left.

I think because I park in the exact same spot, on the side of the house, every time, he may have thought the Bronco doesn't run or move and he was going to get it for a steal. At the same time, it's concerning that random people are paying this much attention to my stuff.

That would be a bit concerning. Truck stalker. Why I have big dogs and a rifle behind the front door... Well that... And stray cats

Back seat all shampoo'd. Ever wonder what 35+ years of Arkansas looks like in the bottom of a shampooer? Lots of mud... Yuk... Now drying in the office (ignore the unfinished wood floor. Just one of my hundred projects put on hold to work on the BKO)... thankfully the front seats aren't cloth.

So, had the truck down for a day replacing the radiator and water pump due to, almost, overheating on the highway. Drove another 1.5hrs at 208deg (lowest I could get it).

While working on the truck I had to take the bronco to the parts store and the rear window got stuck part way down and wouldn't move. Used the interwebs, turned out to be the tailgate latch switch. Bypassed and it "worked." Kinda jumpy/clunky going up/down... but I got it back up.

Guess window guides and weatherstrip are next on the list. I lubed the rollers and gears (especially where they rubbed the frame of the regulator) and it made no change.

Bleeding money over here too. Spent $350 on the truck, then the bronco wants to cause a little headache, oh... and now I found there is literally no pad left on 1 set of brake pads on the pickup.

I just sold the subaru... hope it believed in reincarnation!

Got the rear seat hardware (minus that long ass bar that goes across the front) painted... And that thick cardboard that goes under the seat painted.

Grinding Day ... Then wipe it all down with acetone and primer

Bonus... The box of paint from krylon came today so much for 2-3 weeks (was 2-3 days) and they sent a bonus can! Sweet

So I'm driving the 88 home tonight after work. GEEZZZ!!! It's caught up to me! I lived in downtown Denver for 7 years! What a hell hole of traffic! As luck would have it, I found a new job 25 miles North and moved out of the hell hole! That was 12 years ago and the hell hole traffic has spread North among other directions and caught up to me again. My 30 minute drive is now 40 minutes!
So I pull up to a light and this lady in some kind of Chevy something or another is next to me. She's got a kid in a baby seat in the back. A big smile comes across her face and she rolls down her window and says to me, "Would you ever sell that Bronco"? "No mam", "sorry". "Been driving this rig for 15 years now". Then she says, "My husband had a Bronco just like yours and sold it", "Now he wants another" The light turns Green and I yell back "Craigs List Denver"! and take off. Maybe I helped...

Similar thing happened to me yesterday. Guy pulls up to gas station in jacked up... Tahoe... eyes my rig just a little too long. I go in and pick up my 6 pack, pay, and the guy steps behind me in line "you looking to sell that Bronco?"

Me: "Nope"

Then he tells me he's had 4 of them in various states of decay. I didn't ask why he was now driving that Chevy... Not the first second or third time that's happened. Guess I'll have to get used to driving an object of envy!
