Just changed the oil for the second time since the engine swap. No metal on the drain plug so I went ahead and swapped in a new Fumoto quick drain valve.

Ordered my monstaliner color chips today. See if I want to put the extra investment into color liner versus their basic black since it's being carpeted over anyway... But it would be nice in top off weather to just take the carpet out of the cargo area and not worry about the weather.

Haven't done anything yet, but just unpacked my Gearwrench 44 piece long pattern wrench set - and their ain't no fastener on this property that I can't break loose, PERIOD. I do, however, need some wrench racks... I quickly displaced a bunch of tools and ran out of space

I put a new window motor assembly in the passenger side of the 93 this morning. I've had this one peritcular hunk of 1" X 1" x 25" wood around since probably 2004 when I got the 88 Bronco and HAD to learn how to remove window motors. This pericular hunk of wood is the perfect length to slip inside the door and prop the window all the way up and get the regulator crap otta the way. Then you can remove the 3 motor bolts and scrape the hell out of your arm reaching inside the door to remove the motor assembly. Putting the new motor in is a treat also. You can't see what your doing so it's all done by feel! I got lucky and had the new motor swapped in in less than an hour!
I put the old motor in the new motor's box. I'll tear it apart later and fix it as a backup. The brushes on the motor will be submerged in dirty grease. And if the nylon gear and 3 nylon pins are toast I have replacements for those too. Glad I don't have to do this every day! I figured maybe I otts to label that valuable 1x1 so it don't get tossed or used!

I'm convinced you can't stick your arm inside a Bronco door without tearing the living snot out of it.

Kudos on swapping the motor out. No easy task if someone hasn't already drilled the door panel to get a socket in.

Ordered rear glass weatherstrip seals for it, and inner/outer driver/pass door weatherstrip.

Hopefully I can now comfortably rest my arm out the window instead of trying to avoid being cut by the dried rubber seals!

So, this weekend I finally got around to replacing axle pivot bushings, radius arm bushings, and the tie rods/drag links on our '92... I've only had the parts sitting on the shelf since last Winter...

What should have been a half-day job turned into all weekend...

Nothing went easy, from the very start, and then the driver's side slid off the jack and pulled loose the slip joint on both the axle and the driveshaft...

I ended up pulling the axles all the way out, and got the stock pivot bushings out without any issues. I'm using Energy Suspension replacements for the pivot and radius arm bushings. So, yesterday, I got the new bushings pressed in, and everything back under the truck. And the pivot bushings wouldn't go in the brackets... so I gave up for the night.

This morning, I measured the brackets (I have 4" lift, don't remember the brand... I put it on 6 years ago) and the ES bushings are ~.040" too long...

I pressed the center steel sections out of the bushings, and hit them with the angle grinder to make them fit, then trimmed off some of the urethane to match and I was FINALLY able to get the pivot bushings into the bracket and get the bolts in. Then I had to break out the come-a-long, to get the radius arms back in place with the new bushings.




The whole ordeal required 3 jacks, 2 big jack stands, and a multitude of regular ones. Not to mention a LOT of cussing...

Once the bushings were in, I got the springs, shocks and brakes re-installed, and it was time for the steering parts.

I decided to upgrade, the steering parts to a mix of F250/350 parts as laid out in this thread: https://www.fullsizebronco.com/forum...-rod-flip.html

I have a drop pitman arm, so I didn't to the TRE flip. The steering parts are much beefier than stock.

So I roughed in the toe, and it's finally finished, except for the front driveshaft... one of the u-joints dumped all it's bearing needles out on the driveway when I pulled it.
Now I just need new u-joints so I can reinstall the front driveshaft, but at least that's a pretty simple job.

And an alignment. Gonna try to schedule that tomorrow.

Even though this job was an 8.5 on the scale, it definitely drives much better.

I ordered a Covrecraft, Noah car cover for the 93 this morning. I tried ordering it online, but decided talking with a human about this was the way I wanted to go. Covercraft isn't having any of these 30 to 50% off sales like all their competitors but there was some kind of sale with Free shipping. Still kind of pricey I thought. $389.00 with free shipping. I got a Tan colored tote bag and the locking cable with locks coming with it. She said about 3 weeks because it's a custom order. We'll see,,,

I went to the J Y over lunch and was able to buy an intake (upper and lower) with the attached throttle body, fuel injector and rails for a cool $20
