Freak microburst squall just bent Dorothy. Susan put it up five years ago. I was watching and thought it was a goner! Something else to fix. Those photos were situated correctly but now it looks like the house was falling off the planet and I don’t know how to fix it.. Wendy (the taller one with cables and straps), survived fine, although the post may need strengthening if this kind of thing becomes common. I put it up a year ago.

A car goes off the Harvard bridge into the Charles River

When I was fourteen years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned twenty-one, I was astounded at how much he had learned in the last seven years

Looks like the car is going on the bridge.

In other news,

Driving some back roads here in Belize and had to cross a river.

Been wheeling in this Suzuki (rental)

This barge is powered by hand. (Decided not to challenge this guy to arm wrestling.)

View from the seat.

Whenever I hear that song, I see the music video in my head and remember how “futuristic” I thought it was back in the day. Lol

Oh, and the random pic.....ummmmmmm......here’s one I took at the store a while back.

This guy was a stray who wandered in about 9 months ago. I call him Tom. His stray partner in crime, mama kitty, isn't as sociable, but does let you pet her. They stay outside, while the dogs get to stay inside.

A small engine dyno I helped design and that Purdue University built for small engine experimentation. Before this was built, there was only one dyno on the whole campus and it was located in the basement of the ME building, semi-permanently connected to a 4 cyl. Detroit Deisel and a Honda 4-banger.

Just a simple inertia style with enough safety bells and whistles to make OSHA drool. I got to design the sensor suite and data recording system using a multi-functional PLC (Programable Logic Controller) system, as well as the safety systems. I also wanted to put in a CO2 extinguisher plumbed into the intake and shroud for fires, but that was nixed. Oh well.
