Pretty cool! I guess the shaft coming off the engine is direct? (No gearbox at that end) Gun through the prop is wild! I wonder if that plane did very well.

El Kabong and bmad01 like this.

When I was fourteen years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned twenty-one, I was astounded at how much he had learned in the last seven years

Yeah, happened last night; 7 dead, head on with a pickup truck with a trailer. Truck ended up catching on fire. State police said a Dodge pickup truck hit the group of motorcycles around 6:30 p.m. Friday along U.S. 2 in Randolph. Some of the riders were members of the Jarheads Motorcycle Club, which are active and Veteran Marines. Police said two other motorcyclists were injured and one person was airlifted to an area hospital after the crash on the two-lane highway.

Sad, supposedly they had just pulled out of their motel (less than 500 feet away) to go for dinner. Prayers sent.

Hitting 10 motorcycles head on; amazed there weren't more fatalities....
The truck driver was from Springfield, MA. They are not saying if he is among the dead, if he's not, curious to hear what happened. The police are asking for pictures and or videos from witnesses.
Just a terrible tragedy all the way around.

If the truck driver isn't among the deceased, he's gonna have a rough life from now on. That would be so tough to live with.

I read a report this morning that said the driver was a kid with a very Russian name, think they said he was 26 yr. old. No report on where he is... but in a truck vs. bike or a lotta bikes, I'm betting he walked away with nary a scratch. That's a long life left with a lotta guilt. I've done some messed up stuff in my life, some on purpose, others by accident but nothing that could compare. No real reports on DUI or anything... so with his age and the severity of the crash, I'm assuming it was another distracted driver thing. These damn kids attached to their cell phones have been worse on the road for bikes than DUI's... at least from what I've been hearing over the last few years both in the news and local experience out there on the roads.

For others that ride... keep your head on a swivel out there.

No apologies needed Bud, you are on the other side of the world over there in WA.
It's all over the news here as it's only 3 hours away from me and 3 of the victims lived 20-30 minutes away.
