This guy has been living at my house for about twelve years. He pecks on and flys into the Windows all the time. It use to bug us, but now it blends into the background and I would miss him if he left. We have some feeders out side these windows, but we aren't religious about keeping them full. He doesn't care. He usually won't sit still for a pic. I guess he knocked himself a little silly here.

We loose 4 or 5 birds every year from them flying into our windows. I just can't figure out if they think they're flying into another bird just like them or if it's more of a Wile E. Coyote tunnel kinda thing.

We had a Cardinal doing that at our last house. I don't know what kept it from killing itself

I researched some and found they see their reflection in the window and think they are protecting their turf by attacking what they think is another bird. People do different things to try to keep them from seeing themselves in the window to stop it.

I guess that swamp cooler is not doing any good. Right now it's 85 partly cloudy with a slight breeze from the southwest. In 30 min I will be sitting on my deck with a kilt lifter, enjoying the company of my wonderful wife, you know the one who said "Yes you can get a entirely new drive train."
