While I had somehow managed to get through Prichett without breaking anything, the same could not be said for the rest of our group. So this is what Tuesday, the official first day of Bronco Safari 2017, looked like to us

Wednesday we ran up Moab Rim with a group of guys from Bronco Safari

Up until this point, all week I had been going against my reputation for carnage, but it finally let go and somehow I managed to blow up a u-joint coming down Moab Rim, which took out the ears on both halves on one of my front shafts. I was followed closely by Dylan, who got in the wrong line coming down that first notch on Moab Rim, and broke another front shaft trying to back out.

Paint time!

I did a silver pearl over Ford Oxford White, it was beautiful...

Lots and lots and lots of wet sanding, like 40 hours worth, then buffing, buffing and buffing lol

Next, I powder coated the chrome with a chrome powder coat, very cool

Classic pinstriping, mmm,hhmmmm

Damn she was so sexy!!!!!

Interior pics
I took the seats from a 2008 Edge, those were some comfy seats for sure

Random car show pics

My first run at FOTM I met Phil in Kingman, who was also running and edged me out

Thursday we went out with a group from Bronco Safari again, this time to Kane Creek

All went pretty smooth until my buddy Dylan tried the hard line on Hamburger Hill and broke his steering box

We were able to get the tires straight, then use a couple muffler clamps to clamp the tie rods to each other to hold the tires straight and get off the obstacle. Then we were able to ďsteerĒ the Bronco by locking or unlocking hubs, which got us up to a flat spot to pull the steering box. While we pulled it the rest of the group carried on and got to town to pick up another box to bring out
Thatís about all I have for Bronco Safari 2017 pictures. We did Hellís Revenge and the Escalator on Friday, and had plans for more trails Saturday, but between a few rigs in our group being pretty broken, and then my wife calling with the A/C back home busted, we bailed out a day early

Hit Rubicon again, pretty mild trip with no carnage, was mostly chauffeuring a couple guys through for their first time. Still lots of fun, but nothing extreme and only got a few pictures

Getting ready for Bronco Safari 2018

Picked up a set of supposedly Chromoly rear shafts. I say supposedly because they claimed to be chromo on RockAuto, but they were cheaper than 1541 shafts, and when they showed up they said Taiwan on them... But over the years Iíve only broken one or two stock Ford shafts, so as long as Taiwan chromoly is at least on par with 1980ís Fordium, they will probably hold up fine

My next upgrade required a lot of favors from my machine shop buddy Silas. Took a spare np208 and hacked it up to make a dirt cheap doubler

Interesting note, 2 1/2Ē EMT is almost the exact ID as what Ford used to build their driveshafts, and itís slightly thicker wall, and much cheaper. Re-tubed the front shaft to be longer, and just shortened the rear

My steering was a bit worn out too, I wanted to build a swing set linkage to correct the horrible geometry of the stock stuff, but just didnít have the time. The joint at the pitman arm was loose, which is one piece with that tie rod, and then the tapered hole where the y-link comes together was ovaled out. So I cut the worn out end off the tie rod and drilled and tapped it for a 7/8 heim. Then I reamed up the y-link hole and stepped that up to a gm ďone tonĒ tie rod end. Also drilled and tapped my pitman arm for 3/4Ē and used 3/4Ē safety misalignment spacers on my heim

Running out of time!

So I wheeled the FSB for a good run, loved every minute of it!

People were amazed that I took it off road lol

I did make some changes, added sliders, fabbed some bumpers, etc. to make it more capable

My all time favorite pic of the Bronco

Bronco Safari 2016!

I was arriving the day of my marriage I had to choose my wedding vehicle and I chose my bronco, a wonderful experience.
At that time the C6 box was not repaired; It got hot and started to slow down but I took the risk myself; I cleaned it, I polished it and went to church as best I could. After the ceremony we went to the party, it was a wonderful moment that we live with my wife and we will REMEMBER FOR ALWAYS ....
Highly recommended.
My father, my brother and me.

My first trip with all my restored bronco, 2 new differentials, new 351M v8 engine, C6 box repaired to new, now to travel and enjoy my country.
Pictures of barreal, town west of my city, in the background the famous CORDILLERA DE LOS ANDES, about 700 km round trip.
There is also the famous PAMPA EL LEONCITO, a place where carrovelismo are practiced, by the wind.

Paitence Everyone,
In an effort to keep the Nominations & Competition Active, @Quader1 had the Brilliant Idea of
everyone "Holding their Vote" until the Near End of the FOTM & FOTY Competitions to Help the Competitors stay with the Program
and Not just drop out and Stop Posting. It's kinda hard to Compete and stay Motivated when there is a "Runaway"
in the vote tallies, Especially with such a Diverse Group of Rigs.

There IS a "Poll" at the Top of this Page, I do not know how a Cellphone User would adjust settings to See it though.
Be Patient on your vote tho' cause something tells me that we are going to witness some "Serious Postings" in the next few days.
(The Kind that might make a guy Change his thought process on which way to Vote)
