Trevor12's Dana 60 SAS

Did my sas a couple months ago, but I figured I would share it here.

Dana 60 out of an 89 F350. Also had the matching sterling 10.25 rear

Changed the gearing over to 4.56 gears to run the 37" tires

TTB out

D60 cleaned up

Mocking up the placement

Welding up some drop brackets for the lift. We wanted to achieve about 8 inches of lift. This part was hard to figure out how tall to make the brackets and where to place them. We finally figured it out by jacking up the truck until the middle of the fenders were at the same height, and then having the axle sit at normal height. The placement was taken by measuring the wheelbase and moving it accordingly.

The holes were to be plug welded

Cross member fabbed up

Covered the front with diamond plate

Wouldn't fit out of the garage with tires on

Sitting on its own weight again

Works well too

It drives better than before. The solid axle with the F350 front leafs handle the bumps so much better than before. No more bump steer either. Easily the best upgrade I've ever done to the truck
