How are you coming through Kansas? Pretty sure I'm leaving Sunday, travelling i70 to Denver and pitching a tent or staying in a Walmart parking lot. I'm supposed to have a co-pilot but I still dont know if he's coming or not.

Lol I'll be changing oil in the Denver and Moab autoparts stores parking lot.

I've done 13 hours straight solo before. It's not bad, just have some tunes ready, some drinks and snacks, and smokes if you're into that.

Ok, do we really only have a week left to go??? Where did the last 6 months go to???

Sigh, it seems to be crunch time....glad all on my big to-dos are done. Now just need to mop up the little things.

Think maybe they might push it back a week so we have a little more time ??

Lol, just kidding. I am ready !! But there still is a lot of stress for those last little things to get sorted out.

I am glad Silent one mentioned oil changes, gotta do that today...

Road trip baby!!!

Taking 80 to 76 to 70, no idea on a time line. Plenty of tunes, I'll just talk to myself.

@Bruners4 is taking that route from Eastern Nebraska. For both of you, make sure to stop at Colby, KS for gas and supplies. The next good stop is in Limon, CO and a couple hours away. There are other towns, but those have the better gas stations.

Just a week ago my truck had both axle housings out and I was either replacing or repairing them nick and I just last night did a test run with our trucks to make sure they still even work in 4wd and what's sad is on the way back from last years bronco safari my better half said "maybe you should start to work on the bronco so you dont have to scramble to fix it the week before next years moab run". And judging from the list of things still left to do I didn't listen to her.

We are going to stop in Colby, KS for a break. One of our family members was killed North of town by the airport . He as from Elkhorn, NE and got broadsided by a semi-truck while making a U-turn traveling from Colorado Springs. This is our first chance to visit that site. Guessing it will be around noonish Saturday.
Gas Buddy is showing Conoco, 285 E 4th St. with $2.64 regular gas. It is on our way into town on hi-way 24 from the east. Give us a call if you're in the area.

Therea a big truck stop in Colby. It's got everything, and a fenced in place to let your dogs roam.

I'll be driving to Denver on Sunday and Denver to moab Monday.

I took yesterday off to fine tune the carb. Managed to blow out an exhaust gasket. Which on the i6 is also the intake gasket... so I gotta wait till tomorrow to tear the carb, intake and headers off the head (some seriously difficult to get to nuts) and then hope the gasket isn't broke when it arrives. Feeling like ass monkey garage over here chomping at the bit up against a deadline.

Yeah, tell me about it. As long as the gasket shows up tomorrow in good shape, I should have it fixed that night and driving to work Thursday. I was gonna drive it today

I'll be in moab no matter what, if I have to, I'll take the econoline (it is a fullsize wagon afterall..). It's been on more and nastier trails than 50% of the jeeps on this planet. It's been on a 14 mile pass trail, in a thunderstorm, at midnight, going way too fast, all due to a potential emergency at 12,000 feet. Talk about white knuckles! I still get a boost of adrenaline when I think about that ride

I'll be heading to Salt Lake City Thursday night, and then onward to Moab early Friday morning.
It'll only be for Friday and Saturday, since we have to head back Sunday.

Just got the cruise control working and the A/C charged, so it should make for a fine trip.

Where are we meeting up when getting into Moab? Does anyone have a GPS location for a central meeting point?

Yeah, I wish it was longer. Especially since the 5th is my birthday!

We were originally going to be there longer, but was hit with some pretty heavy news last week.
*sigh* My wife's cancer has returned, and she has to restart chemotherapy here really soon.

But didn't want to bail on the trip completely, so 2 days is better than none.

Definitely want to be sure to meet up with all of you, do some trail rides, maybe a BBQ/beer, and get some Bronco photo shoots in.

Shame about the wifey. Our prayers are with y'all. The guy who got me into Broncos, his wife has been battling breast cancer for years and it came back last year. Thank the Lord for the advancements in treatment in the last number of years.

So you are coming down for the 3rd thru the 5th?

I saw a BBQ place listed in Moab. It sure wont be Gates, Joe's, or Beimers, but I'm sure itll be good. We definitely gotta do a trail or two together
