Hey, as others have said....."Great Work" so far in bringing her back to life! Go back to that guy and tell him he owes YOU $200 for removing that bucket of rust from his property! ;-). It never ceases to amaze me at the work that one will put into getting one of these rigs back on the road. All the best to you and your family in 2012, and may your wife continue to win her medical battles!

I got a big box delivered today. I wonder what it could be?

It's been to long since I have shown this project some love.

Going to set a realistic goal for myself to get these installed. I "will" have them in by the end of the month. I have a couple more things to finish up on my other two.

Hey! That's great! Good for you. Can't wait to see you eliminate the "Flintstone Drive" option.

Update Update Update

We had some nice weather here today and my son Trey asked to do some work on "his" Bronco today. So we did just that. Stretched the air hose out and plugged the cutoff wheel in

Drivers side

All cut out

Compaired to the new pan. I'm going to try and get this in on Monday

Updated 1-30-12

I did not get the new floor pan in today. I had to remove some more of the rusted out ares. The kick panel had a good size hole in it and about an inch of sand down inside. I removed the rest of the floor pan at the spot welds with an air chisel and then cut some more with the wheel. I hit what I didn't remove and decided to leave with a rust removing disc. My plan is to hit that with some ospho and re-evaluate in the morning. I went ahead and cut some of the patch panel to match the hole. Need to research the patch panel availability for the lower door jam. It's rusted through and I held off on cutting out the rot. I didn't want to cut to much out. Body mount under the door is also in need of replacing. So I have a little more work than had hoped.

Great stuff is not great as bodyfiller/rustpreventor.

This is what saltwater can do to sheet metal.

Going to take a little off the top.

Good tools make a job easier.

Lookout Mr. Rust.

I am so glad someone finally saved that Bronco, I have seen it there on more than one occasion and considered buying it because I have wanted one around that year for a long time, but that is more project than I have time/funding for. Thank you for saving that truck, if I remember correctly I normally see another one off of a different trail, I may have to take a closer look at it.
Beautiful project, great work. Btw, I love your e-brake return spring(aka rope tied to release handle haha)
