Project Jericho

Hey everyone Im Pete. I just picked up my 78 Bronco about a week ago, always wanted a 78 or 79 so im excited to get things goin on this one. Before i can start driving it i have to address a few issues nothing major. It has a oil leak from the valve covers, needs new gaskets. Leaks fuel from somewhere up by the intake manifold gotta chek it out more could be coming from the carb not sure yet. Has a problem with the brakes, there barely there gotta look at them more see whats causing that. The rest is minor stuff i can do along the way. May need a sending unit for the gas gauge because it doesnt work. Thas about it once i get them things worked out i can move on to other funner things lol

My ultimate plan for Jericho is to darken it up a little bit. Its like general lee orange rite now, not my style so im thinkin of doin a matte charcoal color on it and black everything else out. I want to make or get a winch bumper for the front and a d ring bumper for the rear. Gonna tint it all out 5%. Hids and maybe hid fogs. Its got a 3" body lift with some 33" a/t's, not a fan of the body lift but its alrede on it so im jus gonna leave it til i decide to go real big but im jus adding a 2" coil and add-a-leaf kit for now and run some 35" km2s with steel d window wheels. The motor is a 351m and has a c6 205 behind it. It has new headers and exhaust alrede so im leavin that sounds nice. Im going to get the heads done port polished valves all that stuff. Demon carb, Ede intake manifold, Lunati hilift cam and it shud have enuf pep for what i plan to do with it.

Thas the objective for now shud get a real start on it within a week or so, heres some pics of what im starting with.

Aint that some shit

Looks like a nice Bronco to start with. Hows the rust? Doesn't look too bad from the pics - how are the floorboards? Looking forward to following the build.

well im looking for those directionals. i have three round ones and 1 square 1. 2 still in great shape and one has a little road rash from the wreck of my friends 79. the wheels are actually the only slavageable thing left after the motor was pulled everything else was a beer can.

Thanks man im located central nj up by freehold, wall, like 10 mins from the beach and 25 from trenton. I know it looks kinda fugly in the frontal area lol im either gonna try to find a stock bumoer to modify or make one, im leaning more towards making one tho because i do want to put a winch on it with lights. I love the stinger bumpers i was thinking of something like that.

And ya d windows are awsome, there cheap, strong and they look good to boot

I have made a new decision on this build...The rig is going from attempted dd to full project status...the search for a dd is on lol

I just think this will be alot easier, so i can work on it and do more to it then be out of a vehicle when i decide to tackle the bigger mods on it. I have a buddy with a nice lowered s10 who wants to trade me for my el camino so im most likely going to do that, since its rede to go lol. Even knw its a chevy i have a love for s10s..will post pics when i get it.
