I had a new Red and White one back in 79. I'm like a mother hoping to find her lost child! It would be to cool to see it show up on the forum somewhere! So I get excited whenever I see one. Hoping........

The silver 79 is officially off the road. We dropped the tags on it when the 460 started to have a bad knock in the bottom end. So I pic up a used 302 from CW for the black 92 that has been setting since 09 with a blown motor.

Prepping it to pressure wash. CW though in the headers for $20.00

all clean and going in. Then I had to deal with the fuel tank.

Time for a new tank.
Scoop and Dee like this.

Before I got the tank in the 92 this fell in my driveway. I never did get a pic of it in the driveway.

So I acquired this bronco in a trade. I traded my roll cage and seats out of Large Marge my black 79 for a 95 eb with 351.

Thanks , Huck I wasn't looking for anther bronco but I cued not pass on this one. This thing was a mess when I went to get it. It was setting for 3 months, they said it was a bad fuel pump. They tried to hack though the bed to the tank.

Looks like he was a curb rubber.

So the front haft is in good shape and the 351 runs like a champ.

I don't have the cash to pay someone to do it right. So I'll do the best I can.

A few pics of a couple things I've got dun.

I cut the cover from a old 79 truck bed. not a prefect match but it works.

patch both wheel wells where the seat belt attached. I used metal from a old 79 hood.

Fixed the squeaking top. With some junkyard clips & bolts.

And started to mock up some new rock sliders.

Always good ideas in Bonsai Dave's build threads. Keep on doing it your way.

Also really like those sliders, very close to factory looking steps

Thanks , The factory look is what I'm shooting for. When thy are finished I'll bed line them and paint them the same color as the bottom of the bronco.

I don't think I'll hit my knee, but the shin is a good possibly.
I want to be able to use them as a jack points also.

I had to fix the driver side power window. I notice a little debit on the door.

And it look like it was inline with one of the bolts holding the motor.

I took a step bit to it.

So I can see that bolt that I'm trying to get to.

You are a jedi master of these bumpers!!! I still need to get mine up to you - your front bumpers are the only ones that I have seen that tuck in nice & tight with a winch. All the others stick way to far out.
