KJ found some more rust that needs fixed on the cowl. I fit the drivers quarter and welded the drivers mount on the overhead center console. Progress...

Man, tell me about it! It has been brutal this past week.

I have been eyeing up their gantry for a while. Impressions?

The gantry has been a God send thus far. Lifting the body couldn't be easier. I actually installed a weld on tie down to the center of the roll bar and lift from there now. The body balances perfectly with out any thing in it. I am sure the dash will change that....

If you do get one make sure you leave all the fasteners loose until it is completely assembled. If you don't leave it loose installing the 4 braces can be difficult, go ahead ask me how I know!

We have been hard at it! Found out the China connection quarter panels leave some to be desired! Had to work both bottom door gaps. Hope to start welding them tomorrow

Has anyone else had an issue with the Bronco graveyard quarters fitting? So far both bottom door gaps were too tight and required pie cutting the quarter to make them right.

The drivers quarter is actually welded to the tub, not entirely mind you but it is stuck there. Had to do some major trimming cause the body moved at some point in the process, I made noodles out of the front of the quarter. KJ is trying to find the color / stripe set up as well!

Some fun factoids about #bov1

Project started - 01-12-15 KJ was 10 years old

-63 working days later roughly 141 man hours on the Bronco

First major obstacle 04-21-15 Broke Ass Focus

-99 working days of recovery from the accident

Restarted the project 9-10-2015

-58 working days 130 man hours and 271 total.

Second major obstacle 12-4-15 Last Post before going dormant...

Restarted the project 11-25-2018

-746 working days later, gone but not forgotten.

Today 2-27-19 - KJ is 15 years old.

-69 working days 155 man hours 426 total.

Totals

Days since starting - 1,507

Estimated man hours to-date - 426
I am sure it is many more than this counting all those that helped me along the way. I figured only myself for the estimate.

Total cost of labor at my Trackmobile labor rate $56,232.00

Kind of puts it all into perspective doesn't it!

Awesome Job so far! I like your #sunertainment System. That is a cool idea. The look of the Bronco after you wirebrushed it is cool too

Looking forward for next updates
