Not me. I've got to patch that same spot on the pass. side of my '90.
Already got another member to cut that whole corner out of a pickup he was parting out.
You've got some real decent work going on. Too bad your not going for the total cleanup but I understand.

30 posts and we'll move it over there for ya. Just send me a PM when you get there or post in here. I usually re-check every thread I comment in.

Just go cruise around in the Anything and Everything area. Make yourself at home and shoot the sh!t. Bump around the noob question area and drop some knowledge on those that need a clue. The whole point of the restriction is so we call get to know each other. Then others will be more likely to jump in, help out, advise or even ask your opinion on how to deal with X,Y,Z.

That's cool I get it, rules are rules! I guess close to 700 visits isn't too bad for a week old thread! I'll start looking around and getting involved! That shouldn't be too hard for me! Thanks!

awesome work man! looks like you and I have similar issues with our trucks. Difference is , you've broken the cherry on it and I have not! My truck has another long road trip it needs to go on this year, and then I'll be tearing it up like this as well. you've done a great job so far IMO. Don't slow down! it's coming along great!

I know you believe you understood what you think I said
but I am not sure you realize that what you heard
is not what I meant

Welding and undercoating

Learned something cool today! Undercoating burns! Use your Oxy Acel torch to burn undercoating off of the body panel you about to weld too! Be careful it will warp but if your gonna burn some wire into it it's probably gonna warp any way!

Thanks for the positive reinforcement! I am glad to be able to share the build with you guys. If any one has any questions I will be happy to guide you thru my processes. I am trying to keep the largest portion of the thread as pictures. I like to look at threads with lots of pictures so I write em that way!

More Ideas out of my Head

Some of the Ideas I have had about the center consol and the overhead shelf and the overhead center consol. Any suggestions on other things that need to be here or not? Let me know, I want to build it once and only once, All ideas are welcome!

alright... you deserve to be in the build area, there's just no denying it.
Went ahead and moved your thread. Just make sure you can post in it and if you can't, let me know.

very impressive work man. cool to see your pops joining in.
the console looks impressive and majorly capable. at this point, I'm not putting anything past you.

I've got one of those LMC shelves in my '73 F250. They come with some "fuzzy" crap on them but it was old and patched, so I ground it all off and sanded the aluminum to get a standard swirl on the face of the metal. Looks pretty good and great place for lots of little stuff.

Thanks for the props guys! This old girl was headed to the scrap yard that's for sure! I've learned all my fab and rust busting tricks from saving a couple of Chevelles with the old man! Hope to be able to stay on task thru the holidays!

That is a lot of work ,good job save that bronco. I was just drawing up a center consol and over head console last night for the wife's bronco. I like your lay out and the ideal. Keep at it,it's looking good.

Awesome metal work! Nice save! Wish I would have saved my 82 cab and done this, but found a mint 85 bronco at a junk yard.

Wow, this is cool. When I was 20, I did this to an old Scout II. Now I must have too much money or I'm too lazy because I would start looking for a new truck. In fact when my 88' Bronco rusted like that in Canada, I did just that. Bought one from New Mexico.

Must be cool workin with your son and dad. I can tell you the best memory's of my life were workin on cars with my dad. He's too old now and my son makes too much money and doesn't have the time.

Carry on!
