Truck has been sitting 10 years. PO went threw quite a bit on it. It's got a rebuilt 400 that at 5000 miles overheated & may have cracked a head. He converted the full time to a 205 that he had rebuilt. New bushings & seals in the front end. New brakes, hoses, wires, battery cables etc... I have a 351M with 70,000 origiomal miles waiting to go in it but I'm going to see the extent of the damage to this 400 first. I plan on pulling the heads, inspecting what I can & if the bottom end looks good, I'll throw a top end on it & see what happens. Looking at a Jeffs Bronco Graveyard 5" Super flex lift with the rear Deavers & probably a 33" tire on a 17" wheel.

Noobie! Ha! Right!

I recon, I'm noob. I've owned a 66 Bronco based rig for 20+ years. Here it is. 66 Bronco pickup. 170 six with a 3 speed, Dana 20 Dana 30 9". I swapped a 250 out of a 69 Mercury Montego & a NP 435 then a pair of axles out of a 79 Bronco, High pinion Dana 44 & 9". Good little truck. Body is a 1960 Hillman Husky. It's in a limbo rebuild stage right now.

Will have plenty of room for a 33" tire with that lift.
You may wish to cut the coils and run a longer rear shackle and ditch the factory wedge block to make it slightly lower. Though nothing wrong with a little xtra clearance either.
Nice looking trailer special.

A 300 is considerably larger physically than a 170-250. I would love to have run a 300 but with the little British engine bay, a 250 was just right.

Lift is backordered.
Everything else is on it's way!
Took heads to machene shop today. That's going to cost me, big! This dude is really particular, won't cut corners. I've only heard really good things about him. His shop is meticulously kept. Now I'm hauling my motor down to him to build. So much for just slapping heads on a fairly fresh bottom end! Anyway, going to put the TMeyet 9.5:1 400 Pistons in it, probably a new cam & then check & freshen everything else. Doing a little work every morning, time is tight in my world.

Heads off spare 351 & to the shop!

400 is coming out & headed to shop too!

Lift kit dilemma, the JBG 5" Superflex kit is backordered till November. Not cool. May cancel & go to a 4" kit of another brand. Got motor about ready to come out this morning. Flex plate bolts & she will lift.

You might try these
https://www.wildhorses4x4.com/produc...fullsizebronco
https://www.wildhorses4x4.com/produc...eaf_springs_FS
Should be near the same performance, I have read that they are a little stiffer then the Superflex pieces.

Aright. After digging deeper into Wild horses websight I think they have the goods. I had never went in & looked at individual components. They have Bilstene 5100's, give a good description of the construction of there coils & leafs. I'll only get 4" of lift (lame) but in reality it will probably be just right for this street truck. Besides that there customer service is so good they just make me want to do business with them.
