Fiberglassed Das Pad

Fiberglassed Dash Pad

My dash pad was cracking and I stripped off the outer plastic coating and put fabric over it. After about 2 years I got tired of it and fiberglassed my pad.

No before pics and but here's after.

All I did was stretch a polyester fabric over it, painted/dabbed Bondo fiberglass resin on it. Let it cure and did basic body work to it. Went to home Depot and got the textured paint. My fiberglass dash pod was made similar.

Sweet. Looks awesome.

Maybe we'll start seein less "wanted to buy" ads for these things and more nice custom ones like yours.

Very nice work man! Ever thought about selling them?
Guys are always looking for dash replacements, this is a cool alternative I would buy if I needed one.

Thanks for sharing, I was looking at the plastic (or whatever they are) dash pads from LMC. I definitely going this route now.
