Knocking ? and reving problem.

PROBLEM 1. I noticed some knocking going on in my left driver side. A friend of mine has a 95 fl50 and he said hes been hearing a knock on that side to any idea's what that could be? My check engine light hasn't been on since I got water in my distributor cap.

PROBLEM 2. When I start my engine cold is starts up fine no revving. When I start it warm it revs up and down and the battery indicator moves with it with it and the interior light gets brighter and dimmer with the revving. My battery light comes on once in a blue moon but then stays off for a while but it always revs on the warm start. When I put it into Drive or Reverse it stops the revving.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm learning a lot from this site already and I cant thank you guys enough.
