Why the Lincoln 9"? I heard they had a thicker housing and big bearings?????

If you could, or had a friend that could, the easiest/least$$$ cure to your problem would be the following.

1. Weld the tubes to the center section on the 8.8

2. Install a true track

3. Install a diff cover with a girdle

In your situation this would bring your 8.8 up to be plenty strong enough to survive in your application.

Yes.

But refer back to post number 29. Crazed does not have to worry about said banker. He spent quite a chunk of change on that axle as I recall. Nodular 3rd, discs, alloy shafts, the works.

My buildup of my 9" is later on in this thread, turned out pretty nice. I can guarantee it would hold up to what you are planning.

A Lincoln 9 inch with disc brakes is not designed for a full size rig. They are a small bearing axle and 28 spline shaft in most cases. They are also narrower than a truck axle.

88' f150 5.0 c-6 trans conversion 6' skyjacker full kit extended rad. arms 38.5 tsl's on eaton beed locks, currently with 8.8, 44ttb, 4:56 detroits front-rear. in the build stages Dana 60 hp 4:88 arb front 14 bolt spooled rear with custom three link and full hydro steering. 1356\1356 doubler on the list.

By the way, every time I go to a new page on this FullSizeBronco.com, I get the following "pop-up":

The server dev.supermotors.net at SMN Dev Site requires a username and password.

Warning: This server is requesting that your username and password be sent in an insecure manner (basic authentication without a secure connection).

It wants me to log on, but I do not want give my username and password to a pop-up on a different web-site. Has anyone else seen this?

I got it once on this thread, but no place else.

Yes, IE 8. Two days ago I would get it occasionally, yesterday frequently and today on every page.

I am getting it in IE everytime I visit page 3 of this thread. I no longer use IE for surfing since I switched to firefox. I wonder if it is something with superford, wonder if it is linked pictures?

how are you calling this a single profile cam? yeah the advertised is the same.. but @50 it clearly shows it's a more aggressive ramp rate on the exhaust side.

Looks sweet. (and very expensive, but should cover your needs and really hold up well)

I like the currie name plate on the back of the housing. You should have had them do something special like FSB's 9"!! LOL

This is a Currie Custom 9", not a Currie Crate or RockJock. With the F9 Housing, Back Brace, WaveTrac and 9+ Third Member, $4600.00+.

Admittedly, most would not need a rear end of this caliber. But along with the new high torque 408 Stroker, this is the foundation of my build. More to come...
