Apologies, I am creating a mess. I originally messaged Miesk5 on this and they are going to forward to the help desk. I think it will be resolved soon. The message is (below) when I click directly on the Noobie forum link in the signature. Thank you for your help and again, sorry for the mix up getting more than one person involved.

Good morning, I have been lurking around for year, finally registered and still am unable to post in the Noobie forum to get my 75 post count. I dont have access to post anywhere. I've read the FAQ and have used other forums with no problems. Maybe there is a problem because my account is so old... Is there an admin you can forward my message to or can you help me? Nice picture by the way, love seeing a bronco getting muddy.

    thanks in advance,
    Kam

    Hello,

I'm told you may have a tailgate mounted window switch for my '94.

Beautiful truck. I have to ask, that picture (the FOTM), is that in Hell's Cyn, near Imnaha? I grew up in Enterprise/Joseph Oregon... ..used to love wheelin' around out there.

Yeah, Only had it for two days, but so far I am pleased. I know the 300 (4.9L) is an almost bullet proof engine. I am looking forward to wheeling it. I have had two previous Bronco's with 5.8L, this is my first inline 6.

Heya hms79. Yeah, I'm a big fan of the 300. If you're not a horse power junkie, it's about the best engine you can get for a Bronco :) I'd love a 5spd with one!

    Hello.
I just bought a 1990 Ford Bronco with the 4.9L engine and the 5-speed manual Tranny. I always see you on here, and you seem to know a lot about the 300 CID in-line six. Just dropping you a line.

Hey man, I was thinking about swapping my M5OD and putting a Granny 4 spd in my 90 Bronco with the 300 I6 in it. Will it hurt my gas mileage alot? Will it be a simple swap or will I need a new driveshaft, etc?

how do you like your offy intake? i have one similar for my 292 chevy, but it has yet to be installed. Also how big of a carb are you running? not sure on what would be too much for my 292, but it also has pretty radical cam in it so that might affect my decision a lil too.

I've read through your thread on your carbureted 300 build. That looks awesome. If my EFI ever sh!ts itself, I'll probably save myself the hassle of fixing it and revert back to carbureted. For comparison's sake, I've seen 4500 to 5000 RPM's mentioned in that thread a few times as very high and scary. In mine, that much RPM is still insanely loud and rough, but the engine will rev up there without a moment's hesitation and would definitely go significantly higher if I could keep my foot on the pedal...but, yeah, a 300 CI I6 revving above 5000 feels and sounds terrifying.

Now I'm trying to get the frau to let me buy some AutoFab stuff to turn it into a sweet desert machine! We'll see...

The first attempt at fuel injection was with a TBI unit that just looked amazingly clean (really it still looked carbureted with the round air cleaner on top...nobody would probably guess it was fuel injected unless they saw the HP/Torque numbers or pulled the air cleaner), but we could never get it to run right. I think that was also a Howell unit bought through Clifford. After enough discussion (read: complaining) over the phone with both Clifford and Howell directly, they both offered to fix it if we brought them the Bronco. We decided to go to Clifford, got our money back for the TBI stuff, and wound up with the sequential port injection. It works awesome, just doesn't look as perfectly clean as the TBI set-up did.
