No really it handles just fine. I was just wondering if it was worth it to try and make it better.

reptillikus Yeah youll def never notice the camber.

The caster is a bit much, but it should still be ok. Is it handling weird or something? I have 7.5 in mine, but i also have hydro-assist which makes a huge difference. My F250 is leaf, and IIRC around 5.5-6 (and handles great).

zippome I had some questions about my camber and caster after the SAS. I recently replaced all of the tie rod ends at took it in for a real alignment. Here are my numbers.

Does anyone know an easy way to make it any better? The guy at the shop said that with the big tires I won't even notice the camber and caster being off.

You're right IIVIIoonshiner, this is a question suited more for the SAS newbie forum. But I'm sure he is asking it here because he is trying to do a build like mine and thought that I would know the answer. And I really don't mind answering questions.

You're right again. I used the 78-79 mounts. I did have to drill new holes but they seemed to mount right up. I wish I would have known that there was a rebushing kit because I would have rather used the 88 ones. I think they fit better.

So to answer your question I would say yes. I think the better way to go would be to use the newer style mounts and get the rebushing kit. I have no idea what that kit is because I never used it. Either way you're going to have to drill new holes and move your mounts. Some people like the older ones because they drop down a little.

zippome For what I wanted and what I do, yes. They do just fine for me. Now that my bronco is not my DD anymore I might think about extending them, but that's not for a while.

Njackson580 Now that you've had the swap done for a while, what are your thoughts on the stock '79 radius arms/lift combo? Do you still feel they are sufficient?

You will need to get 78/79 lifted springs up front and then what ever year your Bronco actually is for the leaf springs in the rear. Unless you want to do a shackle flip instead.

Would it be possible to do the SAS in this fashion without a lift?

If so, and say I use everything from a 78/79, would I then simply order lift parts for the 78/79 truck?

zippome I got another question on PM today, I always like to post them on here in-case other people have the same question. The question was "Which F-250 front shock mounts did I use for my SAS?"

I used the ones from the 1985-1993 F-250. You can also use the 1994-1997 ones. The only difference is that it has 4 bolt holes when the one I used only has 2.

You could probably find these in a junk yard and save yourself some money. I'll also update my OP with the years.

zippome No it actually lowered the front end by about an inch which worked out perfectly. For some reason the 6" lift that I put on the truck had the rear end a little bit lower than the front. I called the company about it and they tried to tell me that that is how it is supposed to be. So when I did the SAS I was hopping that it would lower the front a little to level it out, and it did. Here is a pic of my truck before the SAS, you can see the the front end is just a little bit higher than the rear.

Giddy-Up Did those 4" coils give you about the same amount height as your old 6" TTB lift or did you change some thing in the rear?

zippome Thanks! No I didn't use any loc-tite. I probably should of for some of them.

Peacemaker1994 Glad to hear your alright from the trac bar incident! Did you use loc-tite on any/all of the bolts when installing?
