goingcrazy I know there is a wanted to buy section but I'm hoping someone local might have them or know someone who has them. I really don't want to pay shipping so I hope you all can help my son and I out. I would even be willing to buy a donor truck IF it is priced right.

I'm looking for a cheap but useable as is d50 3rd member with 4.10 gears. I swapped the 3.55 Sterling for a 4.10 limited and now I need a 4.10 d50 please. Cheapest I have found so far is $200 shipped.

I'm also looking for a front driveshaft to mate between the d50 and bw1356 behind a zf transmission. The one I had seems to have grown legs and walked away.

This is a budget build so I would rather put money in your pockets before I buy from a store/vendor

I drive a truck cross country so I'm only in Arizona 3 days a month. That's why I can't get to the pick a part. Plus I would rather help a private seller before a business

Since i live in Arizona i want a bronco that I can use as a daily driver and on trails, as I do not like sitting on my butt in the winter time

5.8 rebuild or diesel swap?
rebuild *.8 or 9 in install?
TTB or SAS and how to do it ?
automatic to 5 speed?
Welcome sir, @Rodan is certainly steering you in the right direction, there are at least 3 diesel swaps here in Az. At least 2 460 swaps, a lightning swaps, @Blue1551 is doing a basturd LS swap, lol. Sorry Jeff. So lots todo if you have the $$$$ check out Noobie forum for Baba looeys upgrade list! Also be sure to check out Az Bronco Club Calendar to keep up to date with MnGs & trail runs. We are a very active group that is also charity minded & focused on giving back. Any questions just ask

How much time/money do you have? What are you looking to gain?

A diesel swap will cost significantly more than refreshing the original drivetrain. The only real net positives are fuel mileage and torque, plus simplicity if you go for the Zombie Apocalypse proof all mechanical diesel.

I was thinking in this direction when I bought our '92, but the more I think about it the less sense it makes. Recent discussions here have been about LS swaps, and you can swap in an LS/modern trans/TC for about what a rebuilt and slightly upgraded 351 would cost (if you're doing the work). For a usable trail rig, this makes a LOT of sense (though putting a GM engine in a Bronco does hurt a bit).

Again for a trail rig... cost vs. benefit... I'm still planning 3/4 ton axles and SAS eventually, but it's probably not necssary.

Something else I originally thought about, but the auto is easier to drive off-road and in snow, especially for my wife. (See benefits of modern transmission with LS swap above...).
