History
Purchased off previous owner who had the car for 20+ years. It was originally built in Australia but was taken to Spain (his home country) for many years where a majority of the works were completed. I paid $20k AUD for it in April this year and have fully stripped it back to the chassis & am rebuilding from the ground up. The chassis is being powder coated in “interpon coral black gloss” with radius arms and other components underneath being painted “interpon Blaze Blue”. Both diffs, springs etc will be powder coated in gloss black also. All new fuel lines and brake likes being made and new bushes all round. Leaf springs and fox shocks to be reset/serviced. Brand new front shocks and steering arms/drag links etc. Engine was swapped to a 351 Cleveland 4 Volt with a 750 Holley. 302 con rods, mild cam. I will be polishing the original valve covers back to a high finish chrome as they are currently looking a bit tired and replacing the air filter with a Holley Vintage 14inch. It has been sassed and is currently running a Dana 44 live front diff and a sterling 10.25 in the rear. Needs a new front driveshaft made as currently didn’t have one in when I bought it. All new wiring harness, standard dash sourced and being put back in. New pro comp polished alloys to come. Currently on 35s but planning on 37s. Originally I was aiming to spend $10k to $15k on the repairs/rebuild but I am about to go over that. Just purchased a CVF pulley kit with new high output alternator and new water pump. Power steering box/pump to be replaced as the original is cactused and still chasing original interior inserts and hardtop. Just creating a place to store all information and photos for anybody interested in the build. This is my first project car that I’m completing so please be kind as I’m learning along the way 💁🏻♀️
