This is the first vehicle I have ever owned. I got it in high school and have kept it running ever since. Original motor was a 5.0L 302 AOD trany. Twin I Beam dana 44 with 8.8 rear. This truck has been on a lot of wheeling trips and has been reliable. I have tipped it on its side once, got it stuck many times, got hit (by a supercharged pontiac bonneville) in a high speed chase. Decided to swap in a 7.5L 460 from a 1995 F350 and all of its drivetrain. In hind sight I would have shopped for a 91 F350 as I learned retro fitting wiring looms from miss match years was a bit trouble some. It continues to change as I keep working on it. I enjoy learning how these trucks work and having a vehicle to try out new ideas on. I kept it street legal so I can still drive the family around to and from the trails, local canyons (winter), and groceries lol.
1988 Ford Bronco (Battleship Grey)
Donor swap from a 1995 F350 7.5L 460, E4OD transmission (with OD), donor wiring harness, Vortec supercharger S trim with about 5-7lbs of boost, K&N air filter, MSD Ignition module, MSD coil, dual optima batteries red (dedicated) yellow (auxiliary), battery isolator with bussman breakers, L&L stainless Headers, 3" Dynomax exhaust w cat, york air compressor & mount for OBA, warn 2.5 gal air tank, overhead LED hood lighting. In the process of a 134A vs. R12 AC retro fit.
Steering assembly from the 95 F350 donor, Grant steering wheel, center console out of a 2010 F-150 fully functional (center shift), 110 Power outlet (inverter), 3 additional USB power points, custom console with carling Locker switches, light switch's panel / gauges, dual LED voltage gauge's for each battery, Summit Racing seats, JBG Sport roll cage, Bed liner tub, vinyl flooring up front, upper console (explorer w/temp / compass), A-pilar auto meter 2 gauge pod (trany temp & boost / vacuum gauge). Keyless entry.
Battleship Grey paint, Custom ARB front bumper (retro fitted from a land cruiser had to add bumper clevis points), LED Lights (flood & fog), HID lights (center), Warn 12K winch (with wireles remote), air coupler front / rear, fab fours rear super duty bumper, rear parking sensors, rear camera, LED tail lighting, LED back up lights, custom tire swing carrier (with 60" Hi-Lift mount), custom head lights (LED halo) with LED bulbs (not sure if I like these yet may go back to original???), Functional hood scoop, bushwacker cut out flares, Unity 6" spot lights, Custom rock sliders, all trims have been coated in bed liner including the top.
