  1. Noobie Bronco Tech Questions. Flame free zone!
Hey, I'm trying to get new midpipes for my 89 302, but I can't seem to find a site that sells them without the cat. I don't want or need the cat, I just want the mid pipes like circled in the picture. Anyone know a good place to source these? Any help appreciated, thanks

Does anyone have a part number or link for a y-pipe that merges into 2.5 or 3 inches? I'm having a hell of a time finding anything that isn't 2.25. The truck is an 88 with the 302 (stock manifolds for now). Thanks

Hey everyone, My 200,000 mile exhaust manifold on my ‘96 351w finally crapped the bed and has cracked. I finally want to get headers to go with my nice Bassani Y-Pipe. Any recommendations? I’m new to headers so not entire sure the difference between short and long headers, and wether or not...

Hey guys. The past few times I've washed the undercarriage of my rig ('96 Bronco 5.8L), I have noticed fuel leaking significantly from the muffler when I spray it directly. Truck runs great with excellent fuel mileage. What could the issue be? Thanks a bunch.

So I'm looking to build myself a new y-pipe because my stock one just won't seal to my shorties on the driver's side (I've tried everything, the flange is just out of round and doesn't line up quite right). Anyway, I'm wondering if I could just move the O2 sensor to the passenger side header...

So I’m redoing my exhaust. The previous owner just had the exhaust dump before the rear axle and I’m doing it where it elbows and dumps right after the passenger door but the frame is in the way. I put some pictures above of what I want to do. What degree bend do you guys think I need to make...

I got a set of shorty headers from Summit Racing, everything bolted up great except for the y-pipe. I've spent nearly 9 hours trying to get it to seal and it's still leaks like crazy at the ball flanges. I'm ready to just hand it off to an exhaust shop but figured I'd ask if anyone has some tips...

Gotta replace the exhaust system, Midas quoted me like $3000 so I figured I’d try and do it myself first. This is a project truck after all. So I’m looking on bronco graveyard and of course they don’t have any exhaust systems that say “5.8” in the title, only 4.9 and 5.0. I’m looking at this...

My exhaust is cracked in multiple spots and a few brackets have actually broken so i have decided to look into getting it redone. I have been looking into new headers, so if anyone has opinions on long tube or shorty headers that would be appreciated. I really like the look of a dual exhaust so...

So, I've been a lifelong Ford owner, current vehicle being a 17 focus ST. I've ordered a 21 Big Bend 2.7L, due to arrive June. I know some stock parts such as intake, intercooler, piping and exhaust from Ford, not to mention the battery, are typically low quality, leaving lots of room for...

My current exhaust rusted away after the second cat (photo #1). To my novice eyes, the headers/wye/cats look ok still (photo #2). After looking at previous threads from sixlitre, I was anticipating getting the Maremont M30001. Come to find out, they apparently don’t make them anymore. Anybody...

Team, 1995 5.0 EB. I found a hole in the passenger's side header, took to a local muffler shop. They weren't able to find matching headers (brand isn't made anymore), so had gotten a new set of Basani shortys, and since it wasn't an exact match I just had them order and install both sides in...

Hello yall, I'm redoing my entire exhaust system and I wanted to know what is the best way to prevent the manifolds from leaking. I know they are straight to the head from factory but ive wondered if a exhaust gasket would be better or some other seal to prevent leaks. I already have a bad leak...

Fellers: Anyone use anything else other than standard header bolts? I ran across these on summit. http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=PHP-21002 They're from Percy's High Performance and they had good reviews but geez, the price! Does this idea sound legit or is it along the...
