After i clocked outta work and stopped working on the forklift i was putting a engine in i noticed that one of my co workers. was about to start a d8K witha d342 engine that i had rebuilt the upper end on. So naturally i wanted to be the one to start it. So here is how a big engine sounds.

Our first try wasen't so sucessful it had lost it's prime. Who would've thunk it after i pulled the injectors.

Try two pardon the moving about you'll notice i didn't have too much to stand on.

Try three this time i just left the camera on the fender.

I enjoyed hanging around after my clock hours a few minutes. It was worth it to hear it run!!:rockon I guess i built it right.

cool stuff. its pretty neat working on and around engines that big. i can't tell from the vids, which motor is that? i tell you what though, scares you a little the first couple times you have to walk into a dyno cell with an engine like that pushing rated power.
