Are there really any differences between 1/2 ton and 1 ton vacuum boosters besides the mount spacing for the MC ears? I recall a thread on this, but can't find it right now.

I'm going to do the T-Bird brake swap, but am at the point where my booster is shot NOW. I know the 1 ton booster is needed to run the 1 ton MC, but is there anything stopping me from installing the 1 ton booster now, slotting the ears on my current MC, and waiting to do the rest of the swap later?

I just replaced my 1/2 tone booster with a 1 ton booster and it is fine. Got lots of better braking power now and she stops good. There isnt a problem with it, but you may have to adjust the pushrod, I didnt but need to cause i got too much play in my brake pedal.

I went 1 ton all around. Booster, master, axles, removed the abs couldn't be happier.
