Selling a running 410 Mercury 410 4-bbl engine.

Complete from oil pan to factory 4-bbl carb.....swapping in a 460 instead.

Has the funky Mercury tall FE valve covers, etc.

$500

Thanks!

You know the 410 is either a 428 block with a 390 crank or a 390 with a 428 crank (can't remember which---too many Flying Dog Imperial Porters) but may be worth enough money to justify posting somewhere that type interest would lie. If you haven't already.

Yup, 390 block w/ 428 crank....posted here just in case some of the mid-'70's F-100 guys wanna replace their 360's.

Thanks!

Oh, good deal then. That would certainly wake up a stock 360 P/U. Good luck with the sale.

I keep thinking of pulling my 460 and modding a 410 manifold to accept my EFI (simpler than it sounds...) why would you pull one fo the best FE's and replace it with that farking boat anchor of a motor 460?

Our 360 with bad valves gets better mpg than my tuned up 7.5 EFI truck, by 4 mpg... and tows okay...

Wow, I thought I had the last 410 Merc left. It's also a 67, & came with the marauder sticker on the air cleaner. I always thought it would make a great truck engine because of it's high torque. Mine is in the garage for when the 360 in the 69 F250 bites the dust.

Stock specs per Chilton's:
330 hp @ 4600 rpm.
444 ft. lbs of torque @ 2800 rpm.
Bore 4.050 (Same as a 390).
Stroke 3.980 (Same as a 428).
10.5:1 compression.

Bump & good luck with the sale. :thumbup

Yup, this one has the Marauder 410 air cleaner (huge sucker) still on top....I'm swapping in a 360 while I sort the rest of the truck out (suspension, axles, etc.) - then a 460.

Thanks!

I still think the 410 is a better choice.... but I will get out of your thread.. I wish we were closer, I would take that off your hands.

For less than half the cost of shipping, I can Jegs/Summit a 428 crank for our 360.. and boom! Need to go through it anyway.

$500 - forgot to include the price in the ad.....the 428 is worth about that much.
