I have a 1978 Bronco with soft top, but no tailgate. Is there a standard pickup tailgate that will fit the body? I have no need for the sliding rear window. If not, what are my options? Thx.

I've seen pics of someone who took a 73-79 F-series tailgate and made it work, but it's definitely not simply unbolting it from the truck and bolting it on the Bronco.

If it was me and I didn't want a rear window I'd just get a Bronco tailgate shell and bolt it on.

Same as above suggest. I gutted mine.
A member with the next gen even filled the gap at the top on his.

Gutted tailgate is also very easy to manage. Feels like less the half the wieght of one that fully functions.

Order a Ford authorized repair manual other than the EVTM, either a Bishko or a Dave Graham from rockauto.com in Literature section or other source. If it's a CD, ask if it will run on your device.
