at first i thought just a vacuum line is cracked. i couldn't find any to speak of the engine runs when in park if you let it warm up for a few minuets and help it idle, my buddy thinks its the torque converter staying locked up i think that its the carb messing up. the bronco has a 302 in it with the c6, its currently my rock rid just finished swapping a dana 44 SA under the front end. any other ideas of what it could be?

Check fuel filters. While the engine is running, squirt some carb cleaner into the carb in short bursts. Get a screwdriver handle and tap the area where the floats and needle and seat are. Sounds like a carb rebuild is in order. Look into the carb and make sure you are getting a good spray of gas when you hit the gas.

This sounds like a vacuum leak. Dont forget to check for leaks at the brake booster, and at the vacuum modulator located at the transmission.

Could also be a fuel starvation problem, and more than likely the float level is too low, or the needle is stuck.
Should be a pretty easy find.
