Hey guys so recently I purchased a 1984 Ford bronco from a guy who said his dad daily drove it and then gave it to him a year ago and it just sat for the last year. It’s actually in very good condition and I got it for an amazing price.
The problem that I’m having now is that when I turn the key in the ignition, nothing happens. I’ve replaced the starter solenoid, the ignition switch and the ignition switch lock. Originally I had no power to any accessory’s or lights either but I checked the fusable links and one was bad so I fixed it and there was power. But still no cranking or any sound.
I’ve tested the solenoid to see if the truck would turn over and it does. But the key won’t start it. When I turn the key all the way down in the ignition the olny sound I get is a weird buzzing noise from inside the cab behind the stereo.

Have you narrowed it down anymore? If its the ignition mechanism then i believe there are a number of other posts on here that have lots of detail on replacing and testing.

Thank you I ended up figuring it out yesterday! When you replace the ignition switch on the steering column, you have to set the switch according to the manual, so when I ended up setting it and put it back on, it started right up.
