Hey all, super excited to have found this forum. I bought a 1994 Bronco XLT this week it’s a project but runs, and ac works. Paid $1k maybe a little higher than I wanted to but it used to belong to Dickie Betts lead guitarist for the Allman Brothers and has some nice upgrades like full custom sound system.

It needed a new radiator so I ordered a full aluminum radiator and began with that install. The top transmission cooler line was real stubborn and ended up snapping, the bottom cooler line also was in bad shape. Should I replace the full lines or just rig up a fix?

Has a few rust issues but the floorboards are solid.

I can handle most work but not these rust areas. Need help getting started on this project. Outside of finishing the radiator swap, what’s the best place to start? Wheels look like they will clean up nicely.

but any advice from those that have done this before would be greatly appreciated. I’m open to spending some and getting it fixed up right but main goal right now is to get the radiator/ transmission cooler lines fixed up so I can run it a bit.
It’s also having a bit of an electrical issue where the power to the radio goes on and off periodically. It was sitting for 5 months outside so weather has made its way inside the vehicle. 🤷‍♂️

Yo Ron,
Welcome! I think you made a very good deal!
We replaced such rust sections with panel patch panels for 1/4 and tail gate from MILL SUPPLY, Cleveland, OH
1987 Ford Bronco Repair Parts | Mill Supply, Inc..
They were primed and of 18 gauge steel - exact fit around wheel well arch and packaged very well for shipping.

Upper rear wheel arch area; see other panels.
In lieu of welding the panels in-place, consider "Silaprene Adhesive/Sealant, bonds body panels, body seams, roofs. Adhesive will not allow panel to come loose. Used to mount or fasten just about anything together. An adhesive sealant made to last. Actually gets stronger with age, won't brittle or crack from vibration or thermal shock. Withstands extreme temperatures, unaffected by highway chemicals. Used by body manufacturers. Six month shelf life. 10.1 fluid oz. caulk tube, gray in color." by Mill Supply

Replace transmission cooler lines, don't need rust roaming around in your E4OD transmission.
Inline Tube @ Inline Tube | Preformed Lines, Brake Products, DIY & Restoration Parts - Bronco/Ford truck pre-formed brake, power steering & transmission cooler line sets, hoses, fittings, & rubber fuel hoses, etc.; exhaust systems; parking brake cables; gas tanks, etc. Call them since not all parts are shown on-line.
Or stop by local NAPA and discuss it with a live wire person.
Have the new radiator internal cooler flushed (seen some new units left in filthy shops too long before they were installed) and change E4OD fluid if seller hasn't provided recent maintenance receipt.

Radio intermittent or inoperative; see troubleshooting @ 1996 Bronco/F-Series
Its from 1996 Bronco/F Series Workshop Manual (see link below) that is similar to 94.
Corroded connectors are simplest test.
