Hello,

This morning I noticed this new beeping noise in my 1995 bronco xlt, its got a factory alarm and keyless entry... The noise is only there when you first pull the key from the on, to the off position. as well as when the truck is in accessory.

it goes beep beep beep, then a pause, then repeats about 5 times then it stops.

the sound is coming from between the dash and the stereo deck. I have no idea what this sound is coming from and what it is trying to tell me what is wrong but my dad thinks its because of the alarm system. Ive read it has something to do with the fact the ABS, Airbag, or Check Engine light could be burn't out but Ive got no idea. Ive pulled the fuse for the alarm with no luck.

If the Air Bag Light is burnt out the Air Bag Diagnostic Monitor will beep.
"If a system fault is present and the air bag indicator is malfunctioning, an audible tone will be heard, indicating that system service is required. The tone is a series of five sets of five beeps. This does not indicate a diagnostic trouble code 55. If the tone is heard, the air bag indicator is inoperative and a system fault that requires service is present." - the above information is from Miesk5 in thread:

So, next time you start the machine up, see if your Air Bag light lights up. It should stay on for about 5 seconds. If it doesn't light up, the above could be your problem.

My airbag light has always blinked every 3 times every I dunno 10 seconds when your driving. It still does tho? its a pretty distinctive beep also, very annoying lol...I'll try and record it, it is 5 beeps in a set, and probably 5 sets.

Yo my gf's 02 Ford Escort does the same thing every startup and every 20 mins it will beep 3 times in a 5 time pattern. her airbag light would only blink on every so often. We took her car in and they confirmed it was because of some airbag feedback or short. They wanted $400 to fix so she just drives and it doesn’t bother her. But hopefully she doesn’t get in a accident because I'm not sure if the airbags are going to work correctly.

Ok well, Ive noticed that if I remove the fuse for the airbag the beeping stops....Im very tempted to just say **** the airbag, trucks 4 years older didnt have em why do I. and I really dont wanna start digging into the wiring to get the beeping to stop

my truck did the same thing...it just had a burnt out bulb behind the dash... they are 194 bulbs. it takes like 2 mins to pull the cluster, and then a second or two to swap the bulbs out...give it a shot.
