Door doesn't unlock with key, but both doors do unlock/lock fine when using the buttons - so I assume the actuators are okay. Before I open up the door panel, wondering if anyone has thoughts on part(s) i'll need to fix a problem like that.

Also- while the doors lock/lock fine with the buttons - they both are this low when locked- is that normal?

Does the key turn at all and the door just not unlock?... Or...does the key not turn at all?
Have you tried any lube?
Hubby usually puts aeroKroil in mine a couple times a year cause the drivers side sometimes gets hard to turn

My guess would be the plastic clip is no longer holding the linkage rod to the inner ear on the door lock, so nothing happens when the key is turned. They're a common failure item on most vehicles.

The inner lock "knobs" are just threaded down. You can back it off by hand, or with pliers, so it doesn't sit so low. Assuming it still has enough thread engagement at that point. It might be that the whole assembly has been pushed down somehow.
