I have a 95 Bronco with the 302 but its running really rough and after replacing the computer, since that went bad, I just don't know enough to fix what is going on with it so I was thinking of just swapping motors. Can I use any 302 motor from a vehicle of same year or is there something specific about our 302 motors that make them different? I would go with the 351 but that requires emmisions stuff and just becomes a hassel as well.

If your engine ran well before the ECM swap, and doesn't now, I'd say the issue isn't with your engine, and wont be resolved by swapping engines.

What is different about the engine you took the new ECM from? Was it the same year, engine, tranny, etc?

How about trying a tune up first? Plugs, wires, and new distributor cap/rotor. Not all that expensive.

What about wires and new cap/rotor? If any of that is worn out, then new plugs are not going to do much good.
