In order to pu 35x12.50 tires onto a 79 bronco, how much lift is required to do it with minimal amount of cutting? I'd like to keep the lift to a minimum if at all possible.

also where would be a good place to find lift components for my truck?

thanks

Check out bronco graveyard for lift kits. Their prices look good to me.

i run 36x12.50 and 4 inch suspension lift in front and 4 inch blocks in rear had to trim in the rear but i also added extended travel shocks etc, now i rub on inner part of wheel well in rear

this pic is before i trimmed the rear and u can see it hit in the front of the rear tire.

mainly depends how much your stock suspension has sagged over the years. drop the front coil tower down like an inch and a half or two, and do the rear shackle hanger flip, and you should be fine, this is if you are doing it on the cheap if not, buy a 3-4 inch kit and go on down the road.

When I bought my Bronco a few yrs ago, it had no lift..and some 35"x12.5 tires on it.

Never flexed it, but it worked fine for just plain old driving...cept for I broke some stock 3.55 gears and punctured the 3rd member...Nearest I can figure, it was from running fat tires like that.

Now, ARB and 4.11 gears seem to work well.

Or, did last time I drove it, a year ago.

had 35X13 on 10 inch rims with no lift on my 79..even with a fullsixe 35 spare on the rear carrier and the only place i could get it to rub was at full flex on the inside of the ds rear fenderwell
