I have a 95' BKO with a 5.8, E4OD and stock 3.55's. It is a DD, and 33" are about as large as tire as I want to go at this time! But, If and when, that day arrives that it is not my DD and becomes my offroad toy. Will Running 4.56 with a the E4OD be to MUCH gearing with 33" ? I need the gas mileage of a DD with 33"right now but, future plans of 35".

Im pretty happy with 4.10 gears and 33s and the E4OD on my DD. The midrange oomph is good for traffic driving.

I have 33's, 4.56, the E4OD and a 5.0. Too much gear for only 33's. My mileage dropped from 14-15 to 12 (20%) from that change. At 75 mph, I'm at 2800 rpm or so. 80mph is a full on 3K.

To the original poster there would be no reason for you to get gears now. Just wait til its your offroad toy to do that.
