i went a drove a 4.6l mustang gt coupe with the 5 speed today. i was impressed, its way quicker than mine with the 3.8. i really like the car. i have no idea what year it is, the guy who was selling it is old and he said he would find out and let me know. i know its the same body style as my 2000. i started debaiting selling the bronco and getting a 4.6 l stang. do you think $9200 is a fair price for it? its got 72000 miles.

im prolly not going to sell the bronco for it, though i really want it. i just gotta have a 4x4 that can tow a trailer.

but

(according to edmunds) 260 hp/302 ft. lbs of tourqe + 5 speed manual + 3,200 lbs = 0-60 = 5.5 secs, that seems like alot of fun, and todays drive was pretty awesome, it impressed me, but then again ive been riding in trucks my whole life.

yeah, im a truck guy too, but damn its fun to jump in a stang and fly through the gears and take tiight turns without the worry of flipping.

i just dont think i could sit that low all the time, but i love shifting my own gears, it was cool as hell driving knowing i had a good bit of power.

I, personally, wouldn't bother with a 4.6 2-Valve stang. That's just me though, those engines don't make much low end power like the 3-Valves and the old 5.0s do. But I absolutely hate the 3.8 so, if you want to trade up, go for it.

98 and earlier Modular motors have more problems if you're buying a Mustang with one. They changed the whole top end of the motor design of all of the Modular motors in 1999 to the new Performance Improved (PI) design. Dub, if you weren't on the wrong side of the country, I'd be interested to swap those into my Fox mustang. I'd swap the top end to the PI stuff and then beat up on my 05 Mustang GT and its 3-Valve in such a lighter car.
If you just really love the body style, I say go with a 94-95 with the 5.0.

Depends on the year and that certain model. Stock 95 vs. Stock 96 the 95 wins since the power's more at the bottom end.
PLUS! the 5.0 is WAYYYYYY more upgradable as of right now.

95 was the last year of the 5.0. newer body style mustang had the rounded headlights. 96 they switched to the sohc 4.6. you should be able to pick one up at a decent price. alot of people like the 5.0 because of it's heritage. it's a matter of preference.

i like the new 4.6, thats what i want.

its amazing how many people will blow past you at a stoplight, or try to race you when im driving hte 3.8 stang. i was turning onto a curvy road today and a camaro turned from behind me and got int he other lane and floors it, i floor it and take off, go around the turn and shift into 2nd and were doing 50 and i finally backed off and he got past me. the 3.8 stang will outrun a 3.4 camaro. you could tell it was a 3.4, it sounded like shit, and couldnt keep up.

99-04, no big improvements/changes between those years.

I see the most riced out mustangs are 6-Cylinders. The f-body is a fat pig car and just a piece of sh*t.

Here's my former straight-6 car.

Now it's a no cylinder car waiting for a 5.0 swap.

Here's my 289 Mustang before the resto started:
