I just picked up a 78 bronco and a 460 to go with it. its got a rear sump pan, weiand intake and 750 edelbrock. i was looking for the casting numbers on the head but couldnt find them. the only thing i saw was a d20 and i cant find info on that anywhere. does anyone know what the d20 means or where i can locate another number that would tell me what the heads are?

the block has dive-8d16-a2 stamped on it.

Very common large chamber head. Capable of 550+ HP with a good port/blend.

I have those heads on my 460. Give them a good porting job, and get rid of the thermactor bump in the exhaust port.
On mine I put Cobra Jet valves in them, 2.25 inch intake, 1.75 exhaust, the runners were raised(have to use CJ intake gaskets)
intake flow about 220 cfm, ehxaust are about 100 cfm, flat top pistons, Comp cam 230 duration .590 lift 2500 stall converter,
4.11 gears, Edelbrock 750 carb, runs low 14's.
