Thanks man, keep the pics coming, I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting to do a 514 some day:thumbup
What upgrades????

Are we going ot have a 514 vs 351 picture post war? :thumbup
Ryan,

I would pic a more fromadable opponent. Picking a comparison fight with someone who you know pulls 12's (mid 12's) on the 1/4 in a big bronco (the original Big bronco) is not smart.

Is it the meds again?:goodfinge
Biggest improvement will be the Super Cobra jet heads that have a new port design intake valve is a little bigger 2.25 vs 2.20 and intake valve has different angle and is farther away from the cylinder wall old heads flowed 300/185 new heads 417/266 old cam 6.40 lift new 7.18 old duration 254/258 new 268/278.
9 quart oil pan with baffling and windage tray, electric water pump
Those new Jon Kaase heads are awesome. I am building a 460 for my bronco, unfortunately, I dont have the cash for alum heads, but I got some nice heads from Scott at Re-In-Car-Nation. If you are looking to have some port work done, he does some great work.

What else are you doing to get down into the 10's?

How much does your truck weigh at race-weight? Did you take stuff off, or replace any of the heavy stuff with lighterweight counterparts (i.e. body parts, tcase, f axle, tailgate, etc)?

Jon Kaase did full port work before shipping them. It weighed 5200llbs in the 12.62 12.63 12.67 and 12.65 runs. the t case was out but the guts were in the front end and the A/C was in. First two runs my friend was driving he weight 165 lbs second two I was driving I weigh 225 also we were letting air out of the slicks it was slowing us down. I took the a/c out the guts out of the front and bought a race weight hood (no springs)The top and tail gate are off now and I bought tractor weights to make up for it. I have to try and use more air pressure in the slicks and get the traction bars to work better. As far as 10's go I.m looking to buy a SVO block 4 bolt main bore it to 4.625 use a 4.5 crank 598 CI 14.5 compression use these new heads and other parts But that's down the road I'll just be happy with 11,s for now
Good luck with your motor! Pat
It's done and found my weak link look at truck wars at top
Well the motor surpassed my wildest dreams but it ripped the rear housing loose and I got alot of work to do

And he's right...no matter what you posting pics of, you gotta get up mighty early to out post Crazed on SFO....(I think he actualy has the most pics on his site...) :thumbup
Man I really enjoy all of this. You guys got a of cool stuff that you come up with. I'm an old fart, Pat
Wow you took almost a whole second off your time! How much HP do you think you got from the Kaase heads? Ive seen dyno tests that show a brand new 514 crate from Ford gains almost 150 hp with just the head swap to the SCJ's. Any dyno runs in the near future?

Did you take out your axle inners yet? I saw your new hood and that you ran topless and tailgate-less.

Also, what pistons are you running? Are they whatever came in the crate engine? What CC are they? Whats your CR now with the new heads?
I haven't looked at the pics yet, but I've seen some of your older videos.

How is tech inspection with you running topless and without the tailgate? I'm assuming you have a roll cage?

Your right, my bad. It would be hard to out pic post the 351, but I hope they do. That 514 is very intriguing!
I,m kinda new to drag racing I four wheeled for years. The guys that know a lot about this says that MPH is the indication of HP. If you have seen the older videos I was 104.23 MPH with 350 gears and street tires even 103.99 in the first run slipping and sliding in my very first run and 104.69 with 514 gears and slicks. In Tucson where the track is 3075 FT you make less HP all 4 runs I made there before were 101 MPH. So to go up to 113.71 is a big jump in HP some guys are saying more than 200. Jon Kaase did his full port work to them. I can't wait to get my rear end fixed so I can run here in Phoenix I 'm hoping for low 11s and 117 MPH, I,m good to 11 flat with the roll bar, Pat
I have Strange 35 spline axels the pistons are TRW dished 9.8 compession that came in the crate engine the heads are the same as the old ones 72CC
