Do you need to use a relay for 55w driving lights? In the past I just wired to the head light fuze, through aux. light switch, to aux. driving lights. Anything over that I have used a relay. just wondering this over a beer or two, etc.:beer

I do. my hella 55W driving light kit came with 30A relay.

for as cheap as relays are anymore, i order them in bulk and use one where ever there is significant power consumption

Yes! Always use relays on lights.

By not using a relay, you are putting the full current through the switch. You can guaran-damn-tee that the
$ .50 switch you got with these lights can't handle the load.
