OK folks, it's that time of year again. I probably should have posted this earlier, but I wasn't sure if the 'Rona was going to cancel this event. The 6th Annual Bronco Takeover at Silver Lake State Park sand dunes appears to be a go. It is on the weekend of July 31-August 2 and starts with a show-n-shine at 3pm Friday, July 31, followed by some dune riding that evening and then Saturday and Sunday as late as you care to go before you go home.

Here's the website:

Here's the Facebook page:

Here's the location of the Friday meet-up:

Here's Silver Lake State Park:

Accommodations are up to you to secure - there are hotels and campgrounds all around. Hope to see some folks there...

I wont be there this year, but SL is a good time.
If you are with in driving distance and have never been, its for sure worth the trip at least once.

I hear you on this. We seemingly went from too cold (we were still getting occasional snow in April) to too damn hot to work for more than 2-3 hours. Any work I do lately is done at 6-9 am and when the humidity isn’t stifling.

Yeah, I start dripping sweat after 15 minutes. And I leave for work at 7 and get home between 5&6. Right when its the hottest!

The dunes ARE open. I am trying to get my junk going to make it up towards the end of this season...
There will always be several broncos out there as they are 1 thing that just works good there.
