I got a line on 2 nice trucks for a decent price. 1 is a 78 f250 crewcab 2x4. The other is a 93 f350 4x4 wit 460 and e40d wit only 38000 miles. The 93 was a plow and salter truck for a local buisness, body is shot. I want to put the 78 crew cab on the 93 chassis. I know I would have to retain my computer, od button on the shifter, and the Instrument cluster for the gauges and warning lites. Has anyone done this type of thing, even with just a reg cab swap. What do I need to keep in dash for all the gauges to work and not make the comp trip of trouble codes.
