My hood tends to ride upwards at the rear, mostly on the passenger side (see pic below). i can push it down, and you can hear the springs groan. but after driving down the road a few miles, it's popped up again. I'm not well versed in those old hinges, any suggestions? I've oiled them, and the hood opens/closes smoothly. It bugs my OCD 'cuz it leaves that large gap at the top of the fender.

i had the same issue, had my buddy the body man keep adjusting until it was gone. Took several adjustments

Also the springs may be weak as they pull the hood down as well as back.

got the same.
when I got the car this problem was only existing on driver side.
we took hood of the repaint inside, now the problem is on both sides.

I don't know how to fix this, as we already tried to align it for 2 hours.
Well.....
