Does anyone here know how thick the tubing is on our lovely 8.8's?

Did it differ in any years like D44's did? Or is it all the same?

i can't remember for sure but there were two versions.one had HREW tubes and the other..? thickness ?

Thats my guess too.
Someone on POR said that they are stronger than D44's.
They said it is most likely 1/2" thick but no one knew for sure there either...

I never go over there, so it was a first for me to read anything like that.

Hell no. They're not heavy enough. The perches cave because the tube isn't thick enough. I figure it's more like 5/16" or maybe even 1/4".

Could be 11ga, too. :goodfinge

ya, I think you're closer. It's hard to imagine 3/8 doing this

theres no way an 8.8 is 1/2" thick. i'm with seboh. that guy on POR must have been thinking of one of the newer 44s. don't they come real thin?

i was just reading through a another post with the link to that tricked out 8.8 and the guy said the tubes were 3/16".
