You got a C6 and a 2100 2 barrel motor craft. Both decent, but the carb is certainly not for hi performance.

The guys seem to be pointing you in the right direction.

also change fuel filter just to be safe.

actually you should start looking for a Edelbrock performer manifold $129 P/N 2121 and a Holley 600 with electric choke $ around 250 Oh and in case you still have the stock one... $29 dollars will get you an Edelbrock proflo 14" round air cleaner P/n 1207.
