person I know is offering me a stock 83 radio for $10, I dont currently have a radio and want to know if this will work in my 85.. I know most are interchangeable but I wasnt sure if the radios were the same or whatever...

and is it a good deal for a working radio? $10

Sure, it will work in there. Might not fit exactly, but you could do some mods to it to make it fit.

For ten bucks, why not

yeah i got mine without a stereo, so this would be my next best choice till I can get my stereo I want to buy..

Yes it will physically fit, but before you buy it, make sure your harness plugs into it. And if it's AM-FM-cassette and works, $10 is a good price. Otherwise, hit the U-pull yard, and you can find all kinds of factory crap to toss in.

yeah thats the problem, the stereo is about 30 miles away and i wont be driving the truck to grab it..
